MMP is proud of its mission to promote improved access to greater mobility options for persons with disabilities and other disadvantaged individuals. As such, this section of our website lists notable newsworthy items that we believe encapsulate many of our accomplishments in fulfilling this mission.
10 Year Anniversary Celebration
MMP was first incorporated in June 2009 as a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. As such, we have just recently celebrated out 10-year anniversary. We are proud of what we have accomplished over the first 10 years, starting with a single full-time employee providing ADA Eligibility services to Ventura County, we have since grown to a staff of 23 full-time employees providing services throughout Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange Counties. We look forward to what the next 10 years has in store as we continue to see our vision and mission accomplished through the hard work and dedication of the MMP staff, who make it all happen day in and day out.
Access Services Los Angeles Travel Training Contract
In March 2018, MMP was again named as the successful bidder for the Travel Training contract for Access Services in Los Angeles County. MMP looks forward to continuing and expanding this program, which now includes the provision of a call center conducting post-eligibility followup calls to ACCESS customers who have completed the ADA Eligibility process. MMP is proud to be a part of increasing mobility options for persons with disabilities through these programs.
Assembly Certificate of Recognition
On June 9, 2011, MMP was presented with a Certificate of Recognition from Assemblymember Bob Blumenfield of the 40th District of the California State Assembly. This certificate recognizes MMPs commitment to reach out to those who have bravely served our country in our military forces. This recognition was in response to MMP staff’s participation in the 2nd Annual San Fernando Valley Veterans Employment Committee’s Employment and Resource Expo. MMP participated in this event as part of our community outreach efforts under the JARC SFV Mobility Management Pilot Project Grant. Staff met with attendees at the Expo and shared transportation resource information. The event was a great success, and it was very nice to be recognized for our efforts.
